An unusual guinguette day at La Bernerie-en-Retz!
The origins
After 2 years of preparation, the Guinguetz French Partie made its first appearance on Saturday May 7, 2022.
This cultural event was the novelty of the 2022 season.
In collaboration with 5 other local companies, all specializing in a particular event discipline, we have imagined a festive, convivial and unique event at the Domaine de la Gressière.
La Guinguetz completes the local cultural offering in Pays de Retz, giving us all a good reason to get together and toast in a warm atmosphere!
In our opinion, the basis of a successful event is :
- A lively multi-generational festival
- Wine and cocktails galore
- Simple, delicious dishes
- Petanque
- Wooden games
- Space and fresh air
- Music (live please) and dance
The second edition
Since then, the event has attracted a huge following, and our aim is to perpetuate this tradition on the first Saturday in May! The second edition of this colorful event took place on May 6, 2023 .
In addition to the events already present last year, a number of new features have been added for this second edition.
On the program for this second edition:
- The party continues
- Three catering hubs at the Marché Noir
- Petanque and this time with a tournament
- A graffiti show with the creation of a live fresco
- Wine masterclasses
- A village of artisans and tastes
- And of course live music and dance
And yes! As you can see, the Guinguetz is growing and offering its participants more and more activities to create a complete program. This second edition allowed us to see your smiles again, and that makes us even more eager to continue!
La Guinguette: a tradition dating back to the 18th century!
Do you know the history of this colorful festival? Originally, it was a gathering outside Paris at the beginning of the bals populaires, where people came together to dance and dine. Then, in the 19th century, Guinguette was democratized with the emergence of bals musettes, and accordions became the musical emblem of this lively party.
In the 20th century, guinguettes began to disappear due to a revolution in fashion and mid-century industrialization. However, they are still very much in vogue, and with vintage fashion, guinguettes continue to appeal to a huge number of people!
Today, your 6 favorite companies have decided to revive this festival, because the Guinguetz is synonymous with happiness, meeting and relaxation in a single event!
